Frequently Asked Questions

Who would benefit from a meeting with Steve?

  • Anyone looking for an unbiased evaluation of their current financial situation to ensure they are in the best possible position.

  • Anyone with an IRA, 401k, TSA, annuity or any other investment that would like to fully understand what they own and how it works, and to help determine if it’s the best thing for them.

  • Anyone with questions about safety and protected income in retirement.

Is Harris Retirement Advisors limited to specific insurance or investment companies?

  • No. Steve Harris founded Harris Retirement Advisors because he believes that everyone is unique, and no single investment or company is right for everyone. Steve is not tied to any one company so he can help clients get the most value for their retirement dollar.

I already work with a financial representative. Why do I need to see Steve?

  • Many of the people we meet already have a financial advisor to help manage their money, manage their own money or a combination of both.  Steve’s focus is on safe money strategies, not replacing your current advisor. This meeting is about getting a second opinion to determine if your retirement income plan meets you needs, wants, and wishes.

How do I schedule a time to visit with Steve?

  • You may schedule a time to visit by phone, in person, or via Zoom call by clicking here

What happens at the first face-to-face or virtual meeting?

  • Steve will ask about your needs wants and wishes in retirement and your current plans to address them.

  • Steve will answer and address any questions you may have.

What are my obligations after my face-to-face visit?

  • There is absolutely no charge or obligation.

  • Our first visit is designed to answer your questions, give you ample information to decide if we can help you, and that’s it.  You decide if you want to meet again, and there is NEVER A FEE for my time!

What should I bring to the face-to-face meeting?

  • Your needs, wants and wishes and any information relating to your concerns.

  • Any questions you may want to write down for discussion.

  • Many advisors request your latest financial statements at a first meeting such as: mutual funds; CDs; life insurance policies, annuity policies, retirement accounts and trusts, etc. While these are certainly helpful and might be needed later, I don’t believe I have earned that right to your privacy before knowing if I can help you. You would want to review your statements prior to our visit so you can provide a ballpark view of your assets.
